Lionel's Classic Period Locomotives.
This is a larger photo of the Lionel 252 locomotive. While the number plates say "Lionel 250," this engine come in a box marked 252E. Lionel was using up the 250 plates on these later engines. To see smaller pictures of all the different colors of the Lionel 250 and 252 engines click here.
I will add a table listing all the known variations and the dates they were made in the future.
