Title: The biggest little European Railroad in Canada, will be closing its doors
Post by: romiin on August 10, 2021, 04:42:13 PM
The owners are getting older. They said with all the covid restrictions, they had a hard time to keep it open. 4000 sqft building, I'm sure the rent was pretty steep to pay every month.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtKHzY3xrhc
Maybe the young people are not so interested in the trains, probably trains are something us older folks relate too. Too bad. Loco

That’s great. Nice thing about Europe is they still use trains.

It does seem like train technology is always improving over seas. North America seem to replace trains with millions of semi trucks.

Unfortunately in this country the RR's were squeezing their customers to keep profits up. Then in the 1950's the interstate highway system took away a huge chunk of both passengers and freight.
