Does anyone know where to get new wheels for a 254E.

Not as easy as it used to be to find repro wheels. Many major parts dealers are out of business, Model Engineering, Olsen, not sure about George Tebolt. Best bet is just to look on ebay for parts or a junker with good wheels. Wheels from any Lionel electric of the era will fit your 254E. Anything from a 248, 250, 251, 252, 253 etc are the same wheels, except they differ in style from older spoked to later solid disc, but still will all fit. Even most early 1930's steamer wheels will fit, but will show the counter-weight and screw hole for rod.

Thank you for the info.  Wheels found.   Model Engineering from Henning's Trains, Lansdale PA.

Lots of wheels.

That's a good looking loco. Do you have the 610/612 cars for it? Or are you running it with 800 series freight cars?

I have a mix of 800 and one 900 cars for it.  Some with journals boxes, some without.  Have been looking for tank and dump cars.
