Title: PREWAR LIONEL O GAUGE PASSENGER SET #234E 1934 LN/OB
Post by: murph-7 on March 14, 2021, 02:53:03 PM
@1934 set--I just love the paint scheme on this set..It`s really unplayed with..Terry and I have been going back and forth on the #068`s..some you see boxed separate sale but IMO feel the ones in set boxes were most likely wrapped in Lionel wax paper..

This is the set that comes with the car boxes with the numbers corrected like Jim posted.

I have lots of boxed sets, and lots of the 68/068 signs, but no boxes. That's why I think they were wrapped in paper. I don't have an 068 with a nickel sign like that, but do have an orange one with brass sign.

Great set. Thanks for sharing Larry

Beautiful 234E set, looks like new.
I have an unusual pair of 601, 602 cars not beautiful condition, but odd.
They are darker gray, shades differ a bit, appear to be painted on a galvanized finish, both have flaking, reason that I haven't cleaned them.
What is really odd is that both have all NICKEL TRIM.
