C N J Switching Shanty's.
« on: January 07, 2021, 01:40:35 PM »
I have 2 for around my table.

The first picture is of a real rebuild in process to save a piece of history. Not mine but a Thumbs up to them, they are rebuilding other things. They just got a locomotive in to rebuild.

This is sold as a kit. I don't think that he sells them anywhere else but on his web site, some of you might know of him.

This is #1 ( #2 is still not built yet. )  :)
I made this (for now) portable, you may see it in other spots on my table.  :)

EDIT, Give Andre some business maybe? He has other kits for sale.
Good man to deal with, nice products if you like kits.
Tell him Ed sent you.  8)

I don't think you can get the Shanty's model anywhere else.
These shanty's were made to order mainly for the Old Jersey Central.
They were made from cement.
A lot of these old shanty's are just being scrapped, a shame. :(

Andre's site,  https://riverleafmodels.us/product/cnj-switching-shanty/

EDIT, I guess I should add that the kit only comes with the structure, all the other stuff you see for the inside, I bought elsewhere.

Yeah, a little pricy, but what isn't today?

I can't find my tools I put around mine, I know I put them in an old medicine plastic bottle so I wouldn't lose them.
They are somewhere in my stuff in the basement.  :)
