TCA convention Survey
« on: January 07, 2021, 01:04:57 PM »
The TCA has sent out a Survey asking members if they will attend the Convention in LA.

It's an email dated 1-5-2021 at 6:10 AM

If you fill it out please tell them you'll go or it's too early to make a decision.

I bet this whole flu issue blows over by April.

Sorry Terry. It’s not going to be over. Not a chance!! I’ll bet we are still under house arrest all of 2021.
Just what I think! Every prediction has been missed in 2020.

Today is January 7th 2021. Here's my thoughts:

By April the epidemic will have blown over.

If you think I'm crazy, here are the steps:

1. Biden does a nationwide stay at home order.

2. About 6-10 days later the CDC tells the testing companies to use fewer cycles. The case number starts dropping fast.

3. Then the CDC tells states to stop listing deaths with the virus as dying from the virus unless it is the direct cause. Death rates from the virus plummet.

4. The sun shines in and we all go on with our lives.

If I was good at making predictions I'd buy lottery tickets.

PS.  I just got a note saying the TCA is going forward with the convention, but "because of the hotel and tour minimums, they are worried about the attendance.  Hence the survey"

Today Florida posted 19,816 new CV-19 cases. Highest ever one day count.

I think the cv-19 will end up being like the swine flu! It will show up every fall and make lots of people very sick?

I see the National convention in LA is a go for the 18th. Anybody members of this group going?

I am going over for the first few hours of trading and then leaving.  At least that is my plan right now. I can comfortably fit 2 tables  of trains into the backseat and trunk of the car.

Based on my conversations with LA train people, no one thinks it will be cancelled. I know people from outside CA that are planning on going.  That might change though.

I don't know anyone who is going to fly to the convention. This is because they don't want the hassle or the risk.
